Homicide detectives are at an apartment in Melbourne's east where a man was shot dead.
The man was found with critical injuries inside the Oakleigh East property just before 5.30am on Saturday but died in hospital.
Circumstances leading to the shooting are yet to be determined, but the man's death is being treated a suspicious.
No arrests have been made and police have called on anyone with information to come forward.
