A man has been arrested over the lunchtime stabbing of another man at a busy bus stop in the heart of Sydney's CBD.
The victim was waiting in a bus queue on Carrington St, outside Wynyard railway station, about 2pm Wednesday when he was struck in the back of his neck.
The victim was treated at the scene and taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a stable condition.
The attacker, who police say has a "noticeable boil" on his face, fled but was arrested a short time later.
The bus shelter at Stand B was cordoned off as police and emergency services responded.
