Global ratings agency Standard and Poors says the federal government's mid-year budget update has no immediate impact on Australia's credit rating or outlook.
Despite maintaining its triple-A credit rating for Australia, S&P says the forecast fiscal position outlined by Treasurer Scott Morrison in the mid-year budget update (MYEFO) did place further pressure on the rating.
Earlier, agencies Moody's and Fitch also reaffirmed Australia's triple-A rating following the release of MYEFO.
