Next Korean Consul-General in Sydney presented with Letter of Appointment

Newly appointed Korean Consul-General in Sydney Mr Sang-woo Hong was presented with Letter of Appointment by Korea’s Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-hwa on 3 May at the Ministry office in Seoul.

The incumbent Consul-General in Sydney Yoon Sang-soo has just completed his tenure and is due to return to South Korea next week.

Meanwhile, South Korean President Mon Jae-in on the same day granted credentials to two dozen newly appointed ambassadors, including those to China, Japan and Russia.

Conversing with them during the Cheong Wa Dae ceremony, Moon expressed his condolences to foreign ministry officials and the bereaved family members of Ambassador to Finland Moon Duk-ho, according to his spokesperson, Ko Min-jung.
