Nicole Kidman has won the Golden Globe for her performance as an abused wife in the hit T-V mini-series Big Little Lies.
The awards are being used as a platform to combat sexual abuse and harassment after multiple Hollywood scandals.
Kidman and other elite actors have worn black gowns and suits in support of victims of abuse and their Time's Up campaign that aims to end harassment and abuse.Among tributes to her mother and husband, Kidman also commented on the Time's Up campaign during her acceptance speech.
Kidman said "this character that I play represents something that is the centre of our conversation right now, abuse. I do believe and I hope we can elicit change to the stories we tell and the way that we tell them. Let's keep the conversation alive. Let's do it and Keith Urban, when my cheek is against yours everthing melts away and that is love."
