Nine injured in Hunter Valley hot air balloon crash

Nine people have been injured in a hot air balloon crash in the NSW Hunter Valley.

A hot air balloon has crashed in the NSW Hunter Valley, injuring nine people.

The balloon came down in Pokolbin at about 8am, NSW Ambulance says.

Nine people were rushed from the scene to Cessnock Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries ranging from suspected broken bones to spinal injuries.

Two of the nine people have been transferred to the John Hunter Hospital for more specialised treatment.
