NSW government commits $700,000 to support Korean Community festivals and events

Minister for Multiculturalism Ray Williams announced the government will support $700,000 to significant Korean festivals that can share Korean culture with the broader NSW community.

NSW Liberals & Nationals Government commits $700,000 funding to Korean community festivals and events such as the Sydney Korean festival, Korean Food festival and Eastwood Korean festival.

Minister for Multiculturalism Ray Williams announced the funding commit in the Korean Society of Sydney on March 13. 

Mr Williams said there are more than 65,000 people of Korean ancestry in NSW.

“The funding will support Korean Australians to share their culture with the broader NSW community and pass on traditions to younger generations,” he said.

Member for Ryde Victor Dominello also said the funding demonstrated the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government’s commitment to supporting multicultural communities.
