NSW opposition has rejected calls to include fitness exams as part of numeracy and literacy tests for primary school students.

The state government is yet to publicly release survey results on the physical health and nutrition and 7,500 students authorised by Dr Lousie Harding. Dr Lousie Harding says the government will be asked to consider mandatory reporting of physcial activity added to the NAPLAN tests to tackle the childhood obesity.

But opposition spokesman on education, Jihad Dib, told the ABC says the move will only increase the anxiety students feel about the test.
