Opera House goes green for census

Sydney's famous Opera House will be bathed in green light to celebrate the first digital national census.

The iconic sails of the Sydney Opera House will turn green to remind Australians to hop online and complete their census forms on Wednesday.

The Opera House will join 20 other landmarks across the country in changing its colour to promote the national survey.

The colour green was chosen to highlight the environmental savings of the first digital census.
