Queensland will reopen its border to Victorians from 1 December

It comes a day after Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced travel from Greater Sydney will be permitted from 1 December.

Queensland's Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk will reopen the border to Victoria from December 1, after the state recorded 24 straight days of zero new coronavirus cases or deaths.

"During the forthcoming Christmas school holidays, I think we will see now with the borders opened to New South Wales and Victoria, we will see the Gold Coast and places like Cairns and the Whitsundays now doing a roaring trade," Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk told ABC News Breakfast on Wednesday morning.
