Disgraced Sydney businessman Salim Mehajer will again apply for bail after winding up back behind bars two weeks after he was released from a NSW prison.
Mehajer, 32, was arrested about 2.30pm on Monday at his Lidcombe home and remanded in custody after allegedly contacting witnesses in ongoing cases by mobile phone.
The controversial former Auburn deputy mayor had been released from Cooma Correctional Centre on 21 May after serving 11 months' jail for electoral fraud.
Mehajer's barrister Dymphna Hawkins on Tuesday morning told Burwood Local Court her client would be applying for bail.
