Scott Morrison 'deeply sorry' for aged care response falling short during coronavirus pandemic

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has apologised to residents in aged care facilities and their families for his government's failures during the pandemic, but rejected criticism the sector is unprepared. 

At a press conference on Friday, Mr Morrison said he was "devastated" by outbreaks in the besieged sector, and "deeply sorry" for its shortcomings.
