Scott Morrison slammed for not attending Uluru closure celebrations

Labor politicians have questioned why the Prime Minister and the Indigenous Affairs Minister did not travel to Uluru on the weekend.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison's decision to miss the Uluru celebrations in favour of a trip to Perth shows a lack of empathy for Indigenous Australians, Labor Senator Pat Dodson says.

Neither Mr Morrison nor his Indigenous Australians Minister Ken Wyatt were present as the divisive Uluru tourist climb was closed for good.
