Trade surplus increased to $7.18 billion in September

Australia’s trade surplus in seasonally adjusted terms rose to $7.18 billion in September, an increase of $563m on the surplus in August 2019.

Australia’s trade surplus in seasonally adjusted terms rose to $7.18 billion in September, an increase of $563m on the surplus in August 2019.

Imports and exports were both up 3.0 per cent, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said.

In seasonally adjusted terms, exports of goods and services increased $1.452 billion (3%) to $43.215 billion and imports of goods and services rose $889m (3%) to $36.034 billion.
