Urgent cheese recall after E. coli contamination fears

Eleven types of cheese under the Udder Delights brand are being urgently recalled because of fears they are contaminated with E. coli bacteria.

Eleven types of cheese under the Udder Delights brand are being urgently recalled because of fears they are contaminated with E. coli bacteria.

Anyone who has the types of white mould cheeses are being warned not to eat them because they could make people seriously ill.

The recall was issued by the NSW Food Authority and covers these Udder Delight products:

Udder Delights Brie (200g)

Udder Delights Camembert (200g)

Udder Delights Double Cream Brie (200g)

Udder Delights Ash Brie (200g)

Cremeux Provincial Cheese Brie (200g)

Cremeux Provincial Cheese Double Brie (200g)

Cremeux Provincial Cheese Camembert (200g)

Divine Dairy Organic Brie (200g)

Divine Dairy Organic Double Cream Brie (200g)

Eureka Camembert (200g)

Shale Point Double Cream Camembert (200g)

The recall covers all best before dates from January 29, 2020, up to and including February 5, 2020.

The products are available at Coles, Woolworths and independent retail stores in NSW, Coles and independent retail stores in Queensland, Victoria, SA and WA and independent retail stores in Tasmania.

Foods contaminated with E. coli can make people significantly ill if consumed.

Anyone with one of the above products in the indicated best before dates should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

If you believe you may have fallen ill, seek medical attention immediately.
