Victoria's re-elected Labor government is preparing to name the MPs who will head up its departmental portfolios.
Premier Daniel Andrews on Tuesday added four new ministers to his front bench, after unveiling a line-up split 50-50 between male and female MPs.
The Labor caucus approved the historic line-up according to Mr Andrews' preference that it be "gender equal".
MPs Jaclyn Symes, Adem Somyurek, Gabrielle Williams and Melissa Horne are the four new names to join the government's second-term ministry.
Mr Andrews has said he expects to announce the ministerial portfolios on Wednesday or Thursday.
