Wentworth: By-election in seat vacated by Turnbull set for October 20

The federal by-election for the Sydney seat of Wentworth has been set for October 20.

Voters in former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull's seat of Wentworth will go to the polls on October 20.

Speaker Tony Smith told parliament the writ for the by-election would be issued on Monday and electoral rolls would close on September 24.

Candidate nominations are due by September 27.
