Members of the Northern Territory Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team arrested a 27-year-old female Korean national in Darwin.


Members of the Northern Territory Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (a partnership between the Northern Territory Police and Australian Federal Police) arrested a 27-year-old female Korean national yesterday (20 November 2017) in Darwin.

The woman was conveyed to the Darwin Watch House and later charged with one count of producing child abuse material, contrary to section 125 of the Criminal Code Act of the Northern Territory.

The woman is expected to appear before the Darwin Local Court today.

Note- there are strict non-publication rules regarding the name of a registerable person under the Child Sex Offenders Registration Act 2006 (Commonwealth) and Sexual Offences (Evidence and Procedure) Act (Northern Territory).
