ABC Alice Springs reported that a packet of Korean drug, Evathion was found in lollies collected by their 11-year-old daughter while trick-or-treating on Halloween night.


A family in Alice Springs posted a photo of a Korean drug called Evathion on their social media to warn other parents to check their children’s candies that they collected at the night of Halloween. 

ABC Alice Springs reported that Anastasia Byrnes found a small Korean-labelled sachet while she went through her 11-year-old daughter Lilly’s stash of lollies. 

The package labelled Evathion was identified as glutathione, and Ms Byrnes told ABC Alice Springs that when her Korean friend said it was a skin whitening drug she got shocked. 

Throughout the investigation of SBS Korean program, It was found out that Evathion was falsely known as a skin whitening pill by a Korean Youtuber, but it is actually a supplement for acute and chronic hepatitis.
