Newcastle Herald has examined how a Korean nurse Jiae Oh's family has successfully settled in a regional city without prior experience in living in any major capital city in Australia.


Newcastle Herald reports about Korean nurse Jiae Oh living in Cameron Park who has never lived in one of Australia's capital cities.

Ms Oh is one of 53 new Australians who received a citizenship certificate at Lake Macquarie City Council on October 10, 2018.

The Korean mother of two who moved to Australia 11 years ago told the Newcastle Herald that big cities are too crowded and don’t feel safe.

Ms Oh said her Korean friends in Sydney coming to live Hunter area because it is close to Sydney and has beaches,”
