ABC Radio Canberra breakfast host Dan Bourchier interviewed Dr Roald Maliangkay the head of Korean Studies at the Australian National University in Canberra and talked about the K-pop phenomenon.


Dr Roald Maliangkay, the head of Korean Studies at the Australian National University in Canberra is one of the authors of a book called K-pop - The International Rise of the Korean Music Industry extensively analysed K-Pop Culture. He spoke to the ABC host Dan Bourchier about what K-Pop music is and why the Korean tunes so popular is.

SBS Radio Korean program also interviewed Dr Maliangkay in 2014 when his book was globally published.

That time, he talked about the dark side of the Kpop industry as well as its success.
