Former Korean Big Leaguer, Hei Chun Lee, has signed to return to the Adelaide Bite.


Former Korean Big Leaguer, Hei Chun Lee, has signed to return to the Adelaide Bite.

Hei Chun Lee (37) joined the Adelaide Bite last season after two years in Japan's Nippon Professional League with Tokyo Yakult Swallows, adding to over 700 pitching appearances in South Korea.

Backing up from a 2-0, 3.00 ERA return in 2015/16, Lee could also be playing his last season after returning home for an official retirement ceremony with the Doosan Bears in South Korea.

Adelaide Bite signed with van Mil, 32, returns after a contrasting 2016 which saw him released by the Minnesota Twins after 240 Minor League games, before winning three tournaments with the Netherlands national team.

In Bite website, Bite General Manager, Nathan Davison says "Both are very experienced veteran arms. That kind of experience goes a long way in this league"
