A college female duo from the Australian Institute of Music has grabbed the first prize from the inaugural K-Pop Singing Contest hosted by the Korean Cultural Centre on 29 October at its main hall.
The first prize winners were presented with return tickets to Korea where they will be given another chance to compete with other K-Pop lovers all around the world.
The contest was mainly for non-Korean speaker whereas a contestant of Korean background had to take part in as a duet.

The duo, Brianna Salisbury and Meli Mele, sang Sofa of Crush, perfectly just like K-Pop singers with a clear articulation of every note.
The second prize went to 15-year-old high school girls Emily Cho and Rena Wang who sang Re-bye, meanwhile, Clare Xi from an interstate city nabbed the audience prize.
All twelve duos or solos who had been shortlisted out of 52 challengers vied for the prizes on the final stage.
