The Brisbane times reported that the man charged with raping a woman was let off after the 20-year-old Korean victim left the country.

The 20-year-old Korean woman was walking on the pathway near the Morayfield shopping centre, north of Brisbane, on July 22 last year.

The 24-year-old Brisbane man was alleged to have randomly attacked the woman and charged with raping after witnesses who had heard her screaming reported him to police.

Police arrested the man at a nearby creek and the woman was taken to hospitals for treatment.

The man was released on bail under strict condition but as the Korean victim left the country, the rape charge was dropped.
