Several beachside towns and cities have banned the burkini, an Australian-designed item of swimwear that covers the whole body, including the head, and leaves the face uncovered.

Germany is also considering banning the burkini and former French president Nicholas Sarkozy has send if he is re-elected as president in next year's election he will make the ban nation-wide.
