According to the NEWZOO, game industry analysis company, 12.4 million players existed in Australia and they will spend $1.3 billion in 2018. It is world’s 14th biggest games market.
86 per cent of gamers are playing mobile games at least once per month and 53 per cent of gamers are playing PC games and 43 per cent of gamers are playing console games.
Interactive games & entertainment association (IGEA) reported that, ‘Digital sales’ in game industries, such as, mobile, digital downloads, and subscriptions, is 9 per cent increased compare with previous year. Also, ‘Physical retail’ category (Concole part) is also 11 per cent increased.
Australia has a lot of ‘Start up’ company related to game industry and many of global company using Australian market as a ‘Test bed’, because Australia market has two different features at once, Western culture and Asian culture.
