The Australia-Korea Youth Friendship Forum was held to facilitate effective cooperation between Australia’s Indo-Pacific Strategy and South Korea’s New Southern Policy.


The Australia-Korea Youth Friendship Forum was held at the Wesley Conference Centre in Sydney on November 29.

The event was co-organised by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Sydney and the Korean Australian Community Support Inc.

The purpose of the forum was to discuss and facilitate effective cooperation between Australia’s Indo-Pacific Strategy and South Korea’s New Southern Policy.

Speakers at the forum included Mack Williams, former Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Richard McGregor, Senior Fellow at the Lowy Institute, Young Ghil Cheon, Deputy Secretary General at the Presidential Committee on New Southern Policy and Michelle Dang, Media & Law student at the University of Sydney.
