Andy Murray has seen off the challenge of Spanish slugger David Ferrer to book a berth in the Australian Open semi-finals.

Scot Andy Murray has stormed into the semi-finals of the Australian Open with a four-set (6-3 6-7 6-2 6-3) win over eighth-seeded David Ferrer.
The second seed will face either 13th seed Milos Raonic from Canada or 23rd-ranked Frenchman Gael Monfils for a berth in Sunday's final.
German (ms) Angelique Kerber has sent two-time champion (ms) Victoria Azarenka packing from the competition in a quarter-final showdown at Melbourne Park.
The seventh-seeded Kerber reversed a run of six straight losses to Azarenka to eliminate the Belarusian in straight sets (6-3 7-5) at Rod Laver Arena.
While seeded higher than Azarenka, Kerber went into the match as the underdog, having never beaten Azarenka previously.
Kerber will play unseeded Brit Johanna Konta who beat Chinese qualifier Zhang Shuai tomorrow for a place in Saturday's final.
