Sex work has now been decriminalised in the Northern Territory with the Territory Parliament voting 16-5 to repeal the NT's old sex work laws and pass a new act; meanwhile, the same attempt of its kind has failed in South Australia.


The weekly Australia SPECTRUM looks into the status quo of sex work laws in Australia and analyses some criticism that the laws are inconsistent, outdated and unfit for purpose, sidelining the sex workers in protection and basic legal rights.
