Australians want more diversity in Parliament

A new poll commissioned by SBS News has found that around two thirds of Australians want to see more diversity in parliament.

Two days before the federal election, an SBS News-commissioned poll has found the majority of Australians want to see more women, young people and Indigenous Australians represented in Parliament.

The poll showed that younger Australians see the benefit of diversity, while coalition voters were less likely.
