Working holiday makers from Korea and Taiwan are increasingly choosing regional Victoria as their home, prompting locals to reach out to their new neighbours.

Warrnambool is a regional centre on the south-west coast of Victoria.

As hundreds of working holiday makers have been flocking there in the last few years, the face of the city has changed significantly.

The majority of them are from Korea and Taiwan and, to cater their needs, local supermarkets have been expanding their Asian grocery section.

More Asian restaurants have opened up offering people different tastes of Asian food.

This is the first part of two-part series Backpackers who are Changing a City.
