It may be just days out from the official start to an election campaign, but Treasurer Scott Morrison insists the budget is about the economy not politics.
Tuesday's federal budget will be one of "continued discipline", Treasurer Scott Morrison says.
"This is not a budget and not a time for governments to be throwing money around," Mr Morrison told the Nine Network on Sunday.
The budget will be handed down just days before Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is expected to officially call a July 2 election, but Mr Morrison insists his first budget is about the economy rather than politics.
