Chung Sye-kyun, a six-time lawmaker of the main opposition Minjoo Party of Korea (MPK), was chosen as speaker of the 20th National Assembly in South Korea. Parties in South Korea also endorsed Shim Jae-cheol of the ruling Saenuri Party and Park Joo-sun of the People's Party as the vice speakers on Thursday.
