Consumer Information is a radio segment brought by NSW Fair Trading, the consumer protection agency. Steve Lee of the NSW Fair Trading joins SBS Korean program to give advice that you should consider during the Christmas shopping period.
You can request a refund, repair or replacement if the goods you purchased are faulty.
Keeping your receipts in a safe place for refund and warranty purposes is useful. If you purchase a gift for others attaching a gift receipt to it would be helpful if it is in needs of exchange or refund.
It is also essential to check the seller’s refund policy before you buy anything.
If you’re buying products from overseas – always check if the manufacturer has service arrangements in Australia. You don’t want to get stuck with a faulty product and no-one local to fix it.
When you purchase toys for children, you should ensure that they are appropriate and safe for their age.
