Korean political commentator JS Suh says Although the verdict seems fair, there is a huge gap between citizens emotion and legal interpretation on the blacklist case and thats why people shows their disappointment


Former presidential Chief of Staff Kim Ki-choon, former Culture Minister Cho Yoon-sun, and five other officials from the former Park Geun-hye administration were found guilty at a hearing of so called cultural blacklist' trial on August 27, 2017.While Kim Ki-choon was sentenced to 3 years in prison, former Culture Minister Cho Yoon-sun, was found not guilty of creating the blacklist.

However, she was found guilty of perjury and received a two-year suspended sentence.
