Korean born Australian singer Dami Im talks about her North Korean grandfather and her sad feeling to watch her divided homeland.


Dami Im who won the popular audition TV program X-Factor in 2013 is one of the most loved Korean figures in Australia.

The singer who was born in Korea won second place at Eurovision in 2016 and has released five albums.

ABC recently asked ten questions to Dami in order to get to know her in different perspective.

During the interview, the ABC asked Dami how's feeling like to visit DMZ and her North Korean born grandfather's life.

Dami says her maternal grandfather fled just before the Korean War broke out and he carried only a pack of squid

The singer says what happens in the Korean peninsula is a big sadness more than hatred/
