South Korean choreographer Eun-Me Ahn’s Dancing Grandmother has performed in the 2018 OzAsia Festival.
OzAsia Festival in Adelaide is one of a few international festivals celebrating Asia’s contemporary art.
This year, the festival has been showcasing South Korean choreographer Eun-Me Ahn’s Dancing Grandmother from October 25-27.
The performance presents a disco party conducted by professional dancers and a group of Korean grandmothers.
According to the Adelaide review, the dance tributes to Korean women who lived through a war and lost their loved male family members but gave births to women achieved modernity in Korea.
