Dave Kim, Programmer of Seoul Pride Film Festival came to Australia to be part of MardiGras Film Festival held from 15th February to 2nd March 2017.
Kim was well known for his wedding on 7th September, 2013 in Seoul. Kim and his partner Kim Jho Kwang-soo, film director, had the first same-sex wedding in public at the Cheonggyeceon to draw peoples attention to same sex marriage and human rights for gender and sexual minority. After the wedding, they registered their marriage but it was rejected. The couples legal case filed as a constitutional appeal is still going on.
