Three Asian Australians are demanding an apology from Woolworths for cancelling their online baby milk formula orders and the supermarket heavyweight has denied claims of racial profiling over the distribution of its dwindling supplies of baby formula.

Three Asian Australians are demanding an apology from Woolworths for cancelling their online baby milk formula orders and suspending their accounts. Their complaint comes amid nationwide concerns of a formula milk shortage.

A complaint has been lodged by one of the three, Sarah Kong, to the Australian Human Rights Commission. They believe their orders were cancelled because of their Asian surnames.

A spokesman for the supermarket chain says Woolworths is trying to manage its supplies of formula milk in a period of high demand, and that customers should contact Woolworths directly in order to resolve the issue.
