Dick Smith, which blossomed with the CB radio boom of the 1970s and sold computers to generations of Australians, will close for good.


Dick Smith is set to close its doors for the last time, ending a near 50-year era.

2,890 of electronics will be out a job, when the company closes its 363 Australian and New Zealand stores in eight weeks time. Receiver Ferrier Hodgson says it has not managed to find a buyer for the troubled retailer.
