Samsung’s global mobile business boss DJ Koh talks to the Sydney Morning Herald that Australia is an important market for Samsung to test its global ambitions.


The head of mobile business for the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer, DJ Koh is the one who usually reveals the Samsung’s new smartphone devices.

The Sydney Morning Heard interviewed DJ Koh who visited Australia and discussed about Australian market in the articled sponsored for Samsung.

Mr Koh said Australia is the market where Samsung can test their global customer’s taste because Australians are customers with purchasing power who renowned as early-adopters and love new technologies. 

“It’s also a growing market and interesting because while the Australian market geographically belongs to South East Asia it has very strong European traditions. It is a strong barometer of whether our flagship model will be a success and we’re already seeing (that) the Galaxy S9 is highly appreciated by Australian customers.” he said.

Mr Koh who has been working for Samsung for 34 years said Samsung has played a major role in assisting the Korean economic development.
