"I believe this is an important opportunity to assist five young Koreans to build brighter futures and good careers by helping them to improve their English skills, said UTS's Dr. Bronwen Dalton.

In an Australian first, UTS:INSEARCH, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, through the Australia-Korea Foundation, and the South Korean Ministry of Unification are working in partnership to offer an innovative new scholarship program for students formerly from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) who are now South Korean citizens.

These scholarships will enable five students annually to study English Language for up to 30 weeks each at UTS:INSEARCH, the provider of the leading Academic English Language program in Australia. The Scholarships cover the cost of the students English Language tuition, return flights from South Korea to Sydney, and accommodation and living expenses while in Sydney.
