The first episode of the weekly 'Education Anatomy' examines the increasingly significant Edutech industry and its impact on K-12 school curriculum in Australia including the compulsory coding syllabus in NSW schools.


There has been huge interest in the convergence between education and digital technology among educators, parents and other stakeholders since the NSW Ministry of Education made coding course mandatory in K-12 formal curriculum from this year.

Along with this social climate, Edutech Expo 2019, one of the largest educational expos in AU, was successfully held at Sydney ICC on 6th and 7th of June, proving that the future education cannot be discussed without the utilisation of technology.

Educators and experts with whom the reporter met at the Expo, explained the current boom of Edutech as the transformation of educational outcome from passive learners to active and creative learners who are able to resolve complex problems in reality.
