E-learning Industry has been widely spread across the Australia as a means of improving educational environments between different regions.


Since the gap of educational infrastructure between urban and rural areas has become one of the social problems, Australia has introduced ‘distance learning’ as a way of alleviating this regional gap.

In NSW, the state government is in charge of monitoring e-learning education providers and also institutions specialising in e-learning such as Distance Education School and School of the Air are operated to support rural students.

On the contrary to the case of Korea, private online education sector in Australia seems to be less developed in the sense that physical engagement of students to the class is considered relatively more important in Australian Education.
