Build on the site of the old UTS campus, the school now has opened its door to 350 students from kindergarten to year 10 this year.
Lindfield Learning Village has no traditional grade levels, school bells and classrooms, and students are taught in open learning spaces through collaborative, multi-disciplinary projects.
Students in Lindfield Learning Village are expected to take responsibility for designing their own learning pathways, which will improve self-directed education.
However, some experts also warn the fact that excessive student-centred learning doesn't always guarantee the improvement of academic achievement.
