A smartphone application Library For All is a free library app that helps children in developing countries access to educational resources via smartphone or electric tablet.


Rebecca McDonald, who runs Library For All, decided to develop the app when she was volunteering in schools of Haiti after the 2010 earthquake devastated the island.

According to her, the schools did not have any proper textbooks in their mother tongue, and students were struggling with low level of literacy.

Currently, the app has supported over 100,000 children with more than 700 books written by each country’s local language, and have a goal to reach 20 million in ten years.
