Violence against teachers in NSW school continue to increase over time

The department of education in NSW revealed the data indicating that violence against teachers have risen around Sydney area in recent few years.


According to the department of education, 632 teachers have experienced physical violence in classroom, and the number of teachers exposed to the violence in school increased more than 30 percent from 2015.

Experts criticise internet streaming service and SNS media for allowing students to encounter violent contents easily in daily life.

Parents monitoring at home for students’ media use and proper support from local police can be effective ways of protecting teachers from violence in schools, according to the experts.
