There's scepticism of the North's real intentions, with no promises from the rogue nation to get rid of its weapons stockpile entirely.

Once branded the 'Rocket Man' by the U-S President Donald Trump, Kim Jong Un is now keen to show the world he can give up testing them.

On Saturday (April 21) came a surprise announcement relayed by the country's state media (KCNA news agency), that Mr Kim had orchestrated a unanimous vote to give up nuclear tests and demolish testing sites.

The United Nations says North Korea's promise to give up testing nuclear weapons is proof diplomacy can work.
