The One Thousand Wishes project aims to raise awareness and promote Social Inclusion, embrace and celebrate diversity within the City of Ryde by creating 1000 origami horses containing a personal wish.
The final artwork was created by Artisans Ryde, and has been unveiled at this celebratory event.
During October 2016, workshops took place to create one thousand origami horses. Especially, Korean communities in Ryde have actively participated in the workshops and they have earned positive reviews.
The workshops have promoted discussions around social inclusion and diversity, whilst making a personal wish contained in the folding of each individual origami horse.
All origami horses created have been showcased in an artwork created by Artisans Ryde, a local community art group.
