Former President Lee Myung-bak on Thursday left a message on his Facebook saying castigated President Moon Jae-in's sweeping campaign to address the alleged misdeeds of former conservative governments.
Lee broke his silence at the first time since he is suspected of ordering the National Intelligence Service (NIS) to create a blacklist of celebrities and artists with a critical stance toward the government, warned such a move conducted by Moon’s government would hurt national interests and it would end up in failure.
Korean political commentator JS Suh analyses Lee’s message and reports how the nation is ready for the longest Chuseok holiday ever coming next week.
